Practice
There was quite a lot of practice during the week of this enjoyable street circuit and it showed in the times for practice. Six drivers looking to be in with a shout of making the podium. Pre season tc has been showing the way with the new Williams. Jops and White only got their cars at the last minute literally hours before the first event began so they had little time to get used to them. Vortex also had to wait for his Ferrari to be unveiled.

Qualifying
So out first went Jops. A few errors put him 3 seconds off of his practice pace as he got used to the 2005 Jaguar. Next out was Mr White who was running heavy fuel during the practice as he learnt the track. So his time was much faster than he'd done in the previous session and putting him fastest so far. Jim Biggs aka Big Jim was out next and failed to find his pace from practice managing only to be ahead of Jops.
Vortex in the new Ferrari put in a solid lap under pressure to go second best so far. Kapowaz was out next and he took provisional second with a lap only a few tenths off his previous best. tc decided to snatch pole by fueling his car as light as he could, it ended up a little too light as he failed to make the finish line. The final two, Jools put it on provisional pole with a comitted lap. Only Bear had a chance of putting it on pole, a couple of mistakes meant he was to split Jools and White with second place.

Race
Lap 1 Jops with an amazing start up to second place before taking himself out in a big way on the wall. Jools leads Kapowaz,Bear,White,tc,Vortex and Jim. Plenty of incidents on this first lap, Jools, Kapowaz and White fight for the lead. Kapowaz is hit by tc and drops back! tc then hits Jools and Vortex scampers past the pair of them into the lead. Jools suffers another spin and falls back further. As they cross the line at the end of lap 1 it's Vortex, tc, Bear, Kapowaz, Jools, White, Jim, Jops. But no Jops is into the pits with a stop go for jumping the start.
Lap 2 Spins by Kapowaz, White and Jools means 4-7th is now Kapowaz, Jim, Jools and White. White spins out Jools! He waits and they both continue. tc drops back behind Bear.
Lap 4 Error from Kapowaz and Jim moves past into fourth and then Jools into fifth.
Lap 6 Another spin from Kapowaz who is in the wars today and White moves into sixth.
Lap 7 Jools overtakes Jim for fourth.
Lap 8 Jools is pulling away from Jim and behind them Kapowaz and White are swapping positions as they fight hard
Lap 10 Jops collides with Kapowaz allowing White to get away, not a good situation as Jops was being lapped! Jools is the first to blink and pits dropping bak to sixth.
Lap 11 Vortex pits and Bear moves into the lead with tc in second. Vortex keeps third as Jim and Kapowaz both make their stops.
Lap 12 White spins and Jools passes him back into fourth, Jim back into fifth.
Lap 14 Bear finally pits and tc moves into the lead. As Bear exits the pits Vortex flashes past and Bear gives chase.
Lap 15 Bear is closing on Vortex. The pressure tells and a mistake from Vortex, Bear bustles past him into second!
Lap 16 A mistake from Jools and Jim is back into fourth.
Lap 17 Bear and Vortex are definately catching tc who doesn't look like pitting. Jools and Jim swap again as Jim makes a mistake
Lap 19 2 laps after this one and Bear can see tc!
Lap 20 The gap is under two seconds
Lap 21 They start the lap almost line astern and there is traffic to lap ahead! tc moves past Jops, Bear follows. Side by side down the main straight they fight, tc holds it into the hairpin. Can Bear do anything about tc... No! tc takes the first win of the season and his first official win!
