Practice
Close fought practice as 7 of 8 drivers return after a 5 week break. Jools snatching fastest lap in the dying seconds and Bear, White and Jim all looking like potential winners.

Qualifying
Jops came out first and improved on his practice time by a second. Second in the session was tc, struggling a little with his Williams he made some crucial mistakes that almost put him behind Jops. Kapowaz next managed to set a personal best on his way to provisional pole. White was yet another personal best scorer as he put in a blistering 1:16.3. Jim tried as hard as he could to beat White but was not quite upto it on this occasion. Second from last to run was Bear and he beat his practice time by the tiniest of margins to take provisional pole. As often has been the case it was upto Jools to see if he could top Bear. Being slightly down on Bear after sector two, Jools gave it his all and tried a little too hard, a mistake meant he crossed the line to slot into fifth on the grid.

Race
Lap 1 White gets a better start than Bear and leads as they approach Elf. Kapowaz and Jim are side by side followed by Jools, Jops and a very slow off the line tc. Out of Elf they come with the order White, Bear holding off a challenge from Kapowaz, Jim, Jools, Jops who is facing the wrong way and tc.
tc passes the wrong way around Jops, hitting and spinning him to face the right direction as he passes! Jools makes a move up the inside of Jim into Repsol for fourth. Kapowaz and Jools then nail Bear into Wurth for second and third. So White leads at the end of lap 1 with the rest of the field in pursuit.
Lap 2 Kapowaz is now hounding White with Bear hounding Jools. Jim is catching onto the tail end of the Bear and Jools scrap. Error from Bear and he's into the gravel dropping back behind Jim.
Lap 3 White onto another lap and the top 5 are covered by the length of the pit straight. Raplh runs a little wide into La Calxa and Jools punishs him for it taking 2nd!.
Lap 4 Bear has joined onto the back of Jim so now there is a train of five cars behind White. The pace is damn hot too. Top five covered by about 6 seconds as we finish the lap.
Lap 5 Contact between Jim and Raplh as Jim tries to get a little too close and takes Kapowaz off into Seat. Bear passes them both for third and sets off after Jools. Jops has closed up onto the tail of tc.
Lap 6 No change as we come to the end of the lap, White leads Jools by 2 seconds, Bear another 2 seconds behind Jools.
Lap 7 Kapowaz and Jim remain almost glued together, Jops has fallen away again from tc whilst White, Jools and Bear get ever closer together.
Lap 8 White goes off into Renault and it looks like he's messed it all up! No he hasn't Jools and Bear both go off into Repsol and White repasses them, the status quo remains!. Not for fourth though as Kapowaz runs wide and Jim passes him.
Lap 9 At the end of the lap Kapowaz takes to the pits and is the first in for fuel and fresh rubber.
Lap 10 Jools is close enough to start challenging White for the lead. Kapowaz rejoins from the pits ahead of tc and Jops. White carries on but Jools and Bear come in for their pitstops. Jim also is coming in for his. Jops also pits.
Lap 11 Bear is turned around quicker and leaves the pits infront of Jools! Jim rejoins behind Kapowaz who has put in some quick laps to get ahead of the Jordan!. Jools harries Bear for second. White stays out another lap.
Lap 12 Jools spins whilst coming up to lap Jops and Bear gets a big breathing space. White is coming in, Bear puts the hammer down. Big moment for Kapowaz into Campsa and Jim regains fourth.
Lap 13 Bear is on the pit straight! White starts to pull away from his pit crew but Bear has taken the lead! Jools is unable to pass White and remains third. Jim is extending the gap over Kapowaz.
Lap 14 Second to fourth are now covered by the pit straight, Bear has got over 10 seconds for a lead. Kapowaz is in fifth well clear of tc and Jops. Interest in the race is now can Jools pass White. He will surely try in the next laps.
Lap 15 Jools lets White know he's there, pulling out of the slipstream down the pit straight. Jools lunges down the inside into La Calxa but White calmly lets him and takes a tighter line to regain position.
Lap 16 Slipstreaming White down the pit straight Jools has another go into Elf but once more he's too fast and White lets him up the inside only to take a tighter line and regain his place again. White is on the grass at Renault and spins off, Jools is through into second. Jim is through into third, White back to fourth. Jim has alot of pace in these final stages and is closing steadily on Jools.
Lap 17 Jools now loses it at Renault and Jim and White go through. Jools is suffering tyre wear and locking up alot. Kapowaz is closing.
Lap 18 Jools is still keeping White honest and looking for a place to pass. Jools loses it and slides into the pits.. rejoining behind Ralf.
Lap 19 Bear is taken out by Jops as he tries to lap him! Jops moves onto the grass to allow him past but it all goes wrong as he slides into him. Bear recovers to cross the line 10 seconds clear of Jim in second, then White, Kapowaz, Jools, tc and Jops. Great race!
